I went to 4Shanbe Soori tonight, in Mashad, Sajjad Boulvard. I was quite impressed by the level of stupidity of the police. They blocked the whole boulvard not with some blockers but with a big truck! It was more or less like a war zone. There were tonnes of police everywhere and it was really scary to walk. I had my digital camera with me but didn't dare to take pictures from close the scence. Mashadis are also very coward compared to people in Tehran. It was only noise of some fireworks and that was it. Rather boring compared to 5 years ago when I spent the 4shanbe soori in Sattarkhan, Tehran.
