امروز هم یکی از فرصت‌های میلیونرشدن من از دست رفت. ماجرا اینه که رفته بودم یک کنفرانسی که کنارش یه سری شرکت غرفه داشتن. یکی از این غرفه‌ها مال شرکت semacode بود که کارش خواندن بارکد با گوشی موبایله. به صاحب غرفه گفتم که خب حالا با این چیکار می‌کنین، مثلا می‌خواین برای خرید با گوشی موبایل mobile payment ازش استفاده کنین. طرف هم که گویا تازه استخدام شده بود هی می‌گفت خب آره. در همون لحظه یه ایده‌ی ناب به ذهنم رسید که همون جا لوش دادم. و اون این‌که با گوشی موبایل business card رو خوند و اسم و مشخصات فرد رو بذاره در دفترچه‌ی آدرس‌ها (Address book).
بعد به رییسم که ایده‌ام رو گفتم، فهمیدم که این ایده در ژاپن اجرا می‌شه. گویا در ژاپن گوشه‌ی هر business card یه بارکد هم هست که خب می‌تونه با هر بارکدخوانی خوانده بشه.

سلام من بیش از هزار بیزنس کارت ژاپنی دارم اما چنین بارکدی توش نیست
در عین حال تقریبا همه موبایلها اینجا بارکد خوان مخصوص دارند که البته درواقع لوگوکد خوان است و نه بارکد خوان.
How they put business card information in a barcode? I mean it must be some kind of standard or something to code these information in the barcode, maybe you can patent that if there is no such a standard!

Ok. Think of it this way. The phone would get a picture of the 2D barcode, send it to a server, for processing and then a server side image processor will decode the image and return the value to the phone for local processing. This is good for selling price crawler services through webservice text messaging. Think of it this way, you are walking in a shopping mall, you see an item for $46.99, you take a picture of the barcode, with your cell, the cell phone tower is triangulating your position and the cell phone company knows where you are. The server side image processor gives you the UPC number of the item, the webservice price crawler tells you that the same item UPC number sells in an other store in your general area which is three blocks away for $34.99 Cell phone company gets paid for 3 messages, price crawler website gets paid per web service call, the server image processor charges per image processed, and you know the best price in your area, perhaps for a $0.50 charge.
I like it. But the IP looks very much like a process patent to me.
